The secret to success | A lesson from Chiga and the young lad

Once upon a time, in a quaint village, a wise man named Chiga was approached by a curious young lad. Eager to uncover the secret to success, the lad implored Chiga for guidance. With a calm demeanor, Chiga instructed the lad to meet him by the river the next day for an important lesson.

The following day, as the sun rose over the tranquil waters, the lad joined Chiga at the riverbank. They waded into the river until the water reached their necks. Suddenly, to the lad’s shock, Chiga submerged him underwater. The lad struggled, gasping for air, while Chiga held him firm, demonstrating his strength and resolve.

When the lad finally emerged, he inhaled deeply, his chest heaving for breath. Chiga, with a knowing smile, asked, “What did you desire most while you were underwater?”

“Air!” the lad exclaimed, still recovering from the shock.

Chiga nodded sagely and said, “That is the secret to success. If your desire for success is as intense as your desire for air when you were submerged, then you will achieve it. There is no other mystery.”

Moral of the Story

A burning desire is the foundation of all accomplishments. Just as a small fire cannot generate significant heat, a weak desire cannot produce remarkable results.
