Importance of fasting | Allow God to occupy a large portion of you!

If you’re reading this be grateful to God, thanking him for not allowing your enemies to overpower you. Your being alive today is a clear indication of his grace into your life.
Do not be conformed to this world but rather be transformed by the renewing of the Spirit of God.
Do not love yourself so much than you ought to love the creator.
If you cannot identify the purpose of your life you will never come know the value of who created you. 

The importance of fasting!

Fasting is a voluntary abstinence from food and fleshly activities for spiritual purposes. Through fasting and prayer we humble to commit ourselves to the presence of God in prayers so that the Holy Spirit can take control and directing our souls. Even more, the edification of the Holy Spirit help to run the affairs of the church i.e. healing and serving – as it is in heaven.

It will elevate awareness of God’s presence i.e. spiritual sensitivity will built a strong pillar of faith and confidence in us. Will activate our emotional and mental thinking to have a deep insight of things spiritually i.e. seeing things the way God wanted us to see.    Personal holiness will be discerned through our Lord Jesus Christ to all areas of Life- i.e. conscience of every sinful act. Fasting enables us to humble ourselves before  God.

Fasting is a means by which a believer brings his/her body into subjection before God.

 Read: 1 Corinthians 9:27.
Fasting changes a man, wiping away barriers in one’s carnal nature and obstacles that stops him from receiving through the Holy Spirit.

Fasting intensify prayer and enable the believer to become more effective spiritually.

But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.  (Matt 9:13)
